Portfolio Review Advice

Portfolio Review Advice, by Cameron Sterling

We are meeting together at a virtual portfolio review together - Great! I appreciate your choice to spend some of your time honing your marketing message with me.

This will help you prepare for our meeting.

Part of being a professional is seeking out other professionals who can help you build your business. If we are meeting, then you know this and are acting on it.

Are you ready, is your website portfolio perfect, is your pitch perfect? Take a deep breath, and let us mutually understand the answer is yes and no. Your business is in motion and so is its marketing message.

I have worked with professional creatives for 15+ years and understand how much effort, investment, and uncertainty you have lived to choose your profession. Every dollar you invest in gear and marketing counts. Now with the changes COVID-19 has brought work seems even more challenging.

I first learned how to give and receive constructive critiques at Brooks Institute in 2001-03, then from working with Richard Avedon, Hiro, Adobe Stock, Sandbox Studio, Wonderful Machine, marketing courses, and consulting creatives.

My focus began with visuals and evolved to encompass the language and content strategy that make up your marketing messages.

I am a reviewer who is going to help you get hired, I am not a reviewer who is going to hire you.

I am going to give you an honest assessment of your images, edits, brand message, and marketplace position. We will also will discuss how your business can clearly and quickly answer these questions:

  1. What do you do?

  2. How does it makes your ideal client’s life better?

  3. How do they get it?

I am here to help you reach your next level business goals.
